DigEplayer Sales Heat Up

SPRINGVILLE, Utah - September 8, 2005 - "The last four weeks have seen a heavy increase in sales with more on the way," said Brent Wood, CEO of APS and Wencor. According to Wood, the reason can be summed up in four words: "Products, Innovation, Content, and Service."

Airline flight attendants like the system because it keeps passengers smiling. The standard response from Alaska Airlines flight attendants, according to Chase Craig, Product Marketing Analyst, Alaska Airlines, is "It's simple to use and easy to pass out to customers. Passengers always look forward to using them."

The digEplayer, winner of the IFE (In-flight Entertainment) Product of the Year Award (IPEC/LARA conference 2004) and the world's first self-contained, portable video on demand (VOD) entertainment unit preprogrammed with movies, television shows, cartoons, videos, music, airline destination information, promotions and advertising is carving a niche in portable in-flight entertainment.

"Since Wencor acquired APS, the firm has made great strides in customer service and additional product innovation on the digEplayer 5500," said Wood, "helping us maintain our leadership position in the portable IFE market."

"Not only have sales increased," continued Wood, "but we're starting to see customers reordering more digEplayers. 8 airlines have already ordered additional players, which is a testimony to their satisfaction."

After receiving competitive proposals, Martinair, a leading transcontinental airline in Europe, purchased 900 digEplayers, allowing them to place 120 units on each of their long-haul aircraft.

"Martinair chose the digEplayer after a careful selection process in which all operational departments were involved," said Karin Venema, Purchasing, Cabins and Interiors, Martinair. " The main reasons were the ease of use and the good balance between price and quality."

MAXjet recently signed an agreement with APS:

"I'm thrilled that MAXjet will offer digEplayers onboard our international flights," said Gary Rogliano, CEO. "Now our passengers will be able to customize their travel experience even more with an unparalleled selection of movies, TV shows, music and In-flight travel literature."

Last year Alaska Airlines achieved the "IFE Service of the Year Award" for airlines at last years IPEC/LARA conference, due in large part to the digEplayer. They have customers ordering the player in advance via the Internet to make sure they receive a player. Alaska even optimizes space on their aircraft to increase the amount of digEplayers onboard to meet passenger demand.

"The digEplayer is a hit," said Craig. "It's a great way to keep our passengers entertained. It's easy to use, maintain, and hand out."

The digEplayer has new features, including Ethernet, which allows easy uploading of content with more features to come.

Some passengers have liked the digEplayer so much, they've sent APS mail:

"My girlfriend recently flew to the East Coast and rented a digEplayer. She was very impressed with the device, and has gone on and on about how great it was and how it made the flight more pleasurable."
Rick

"I fly Alaska frequently, am gold on it, and very much enjoy your product."
Steven

Each digEplayer is about the same weight and size of a typical portable DVD player. Units contain a 40-gigabyte hard drive and utilize the latest technology.
