About Airline Solutions Insider & digEcor

digEcor was founded in 2000 by Bill Boyer - an Alaska Airlines baggage handler. Originally known as Aircraft Protective Systems, digEcor introduced the first handheld in-flight entertainment system in 2003. The digEplayer caught fire with low cost airlines and started a new industry.

In 2004, digEcor was purchased by veteran airline insider Brent Wood and relocated to Springville, UT.

Since then, we have striven to lead the marketplace. Airline Solutions Insider, which consists of this blog and a monthly newsletter, is an extension of our desire to share information with everyone in the industry. We believe that we have not just the opportunity but the responsibility to be active participants in the marketplace.
